Abstract

168,408. Colling, A. S. June 1, 1920. Fluid pressure ram apparatus. - A load is raised by the luffing movement of a lever which is pivotally con. nected to the ram of a hydraulic cylinder and connected by a link to a collar rotatably mounted on the cylinder. The lever 30 is pivotally mounted in bifurcated end 28 of a cap 27 which is rotatably mounted on the end of the ram 15. The shorter arm of the lever is connected by a pair of links 33 to a collar 37 mounted on the cylinder. This disposition permits the lever to be slewed. When the ram reaches its highest position the upper end of the groove 23 formed on it registers with an annular channel 24 having an outlet and the pressure fluid escapes.
