563,243. Lifting-jacks. EVERSURE ACCESSORIES, Ltd., and VENNER, D. V. Dec. 11, 1942, No. 17679. [Class 78 (iii)] An hydraulic lifting-jack comprises a frame with an hydraulic pressure device mounted therein co-operating with a member slidably mounted in the frame and coupled by a link to a tail piece on the lifting arm so that the operation of the ram pivots the arm outwardly from the frame. The Figure shows an arrangement in which the hydraulic pressure cylinder is mounted between two side frame members 1 and operates a slide 8 sliding in slots 9. Links 14 couple the slide 8 to the tail piece 13 of the lifting arm 12. The arm may be returned by a rod and spring 11. Specifications 478,740 and 479,284 are referred to.
