Abstract

167,567. British Thomson - Houston Co., Ltd., (General Electric Co.) May 8, 1920. Drawings to Specification. Right to Patent relinquished. Thermionic oscillation generators; keying systems.-In systems of signalling by high-frequency currents produced by reactively coupled thermionic valves, a condenser in the grid circuit normally keeps the grid sufficiently negative to prevent the production of oscillations, signalling being effected by shunting or short-circuiting this condenser, which may be the grid-leak condenser, or in series with it. The grid and plate circuits are not directly coupled to each other but to separate coils in the aerial.
