Abstract
166,324. Pointon, J. E. April 8, 1920. Dough-working machines; rolling-machines. - Relates to machines in which dough portions are subjected to repeated sheeting and coiling actions and comprises the combination with two sets of sheeting and coiling rolls of a pair of pressure bands between the sets; also means for relative adjustment of the sheeting and coiling rolls of each set. The dough portions pass through sheeting-rolls a, Fig. 3, over a leading-roll c on to an oppositely-rotated serrated coiling-roll b, the coils passing to a sealing-channel formed between a drum c and trough f and on to a transversely-disposed conveyer band j, Fig. 1, above which is arranged a pressure band k. After passing between the bands j, k, the dough portions pass under a pulley m to a coiling-roll o and thence to a sealing-trough p provided with flanges r for limiting the length of the coils and co-operating with a drum q. The rolls a, c, Fig. 3, are supported in a frame h and are adjustable about the axis of the roll b by a screw i; and the rolls m, o, Fig. 1, are carried by a frame, s adjustable by a screw t.
