Materials for purifying; purifier waste, revivifying.-In a process of desulphurizing gases by passing them over finely porous carbon, as described in the parent Specification, the carbon is kept as free as possible from water. The gas is dried before being brought into contact with the carbon, and in regenerating the carbon the gas employed, such as hydrogen or other sulphur-free gas indifferent to the carbon, should be dried before use.
