Abstract

162,497. Sorensen, H. March 20, 1920. Striking-plates for locks and latches.-The striking-plate 5 has bevelled edges 10 and a projection 6 opposite the aperture 7 for the latch bolt, the whole plate being sufficiently thin to be fastened on the face of the door post without morticing. At the top and bottom of the plate there are long slots 11, which allow vertical adjustment of the plate and hence the latch and bolt apertures 7, 8, by the screws 12, without necessitating the removal of the plate. The edges of the slots 11 are bevelled so that the heads of the screws 12 are flush with the plate.
