Abstract

227,884. Macdonald, H. J. Aug. 23, 1923. Hasp fastenings.-A hasp-bar is provided with an overhanging member for protecting the staple and padlock from removal by force. The hasp-bar a has the usual slot through which the staple-eye c passes to receive a padlock d. Integral with, or secured to, a hasp-bar is a member b which forms a covering for the staple c and and padlock d to prevent access to them for forcible removal. Side members may extend downwardly from the top part of the member b so as to form a hood-like covering for the staple and padlock for further security.
