Abstract

160,723. Auto-Ordnance Corporation, (Assignees of Eickhoff, T. H.). June 29, 1920, [Convention date]. Machine guns; ordnance, lubricating. - Consists in lubricating gun bores by forcing oil from a reservoir on the gun by the inertia action produced on recoil. In the form shown, the oil reservoir M<1> has a forwardly directed opening P<1> leading by pipe Q<1>, and non- return disc-valve G to a cup E. The cup has a re-entrant passage F communicating with a channel X<1> in the gun by which the oil passes to a groove Y' situated near the shouldered portion of the cartridge case. In a modification, the disc-valve G is dispensed with.
