Electromagnets. - Apparatus for re-magnetizing magnetos in which the magnets are arranged radially comprises electromagnets formed with a gap in the pole-pieces to permit contact with the adjacent arms of the magnets. Fig. 4. shows a carrier g having electromagnets b and pole-pieces a<1> formed with a transverse gap e adapted to receive the magnet arms f. The carrier may also be formed as a segmental rim i shown in Figs. 6 and 9 having pole-pieces j reduced in thickness at j<1> and having slots k formed therein to pass around the distance-pieces l. The pole-pieces may be modified as shown in Fig. 10, and may be provided with wedge-shaped insulating-blocks q to force the poles into engagement with the magnets.
