Abstract

PURPOSE:To integrate a cage rotor and a permanent magnetic rotor into a single rotor by a method wherein permanent magnets are provided on the outer circumference of a cylindrical yoke in such manner that a gap is provided between them, conductors are provided in the gap insulated from the yoke and then short-circuiting rings which will be used for short-circuiting of each conductor are disposed. CONSTITUTION:A rotor substrate is constituted by fixing a plurality of permanent magnets 3 on the side of the cylindrical yoke 2 maintaining the gap g between them and by performing an insulating process on the surface of the yokes 2 corresponding to the gap g. Then, rod type or plate type metal conductors 4 are inserted and fixed in each gap g located on the surface of the rotor substrate and two short-circuiting rings 5, to be used for short-circuiting of these metal conductors 4, are provided on the yoke 2 through the intermediary of an insulation treatment section. Through these procedures, the cage rotor and the permanent magnet rotor can be integrated together in a single rotor.
