Abstract

159,537. Armstrong, Whitworth, & Co., Ltd., Sir W. G., MacGuckin, C. J. G., and Smalley, O. Oct. 24, 1919. Alloys. - Copper alloys, especially suitable for turbine blades, contain 80-90 per cent of copper, 7-10 per cent of aluminium, 1-6 per cent of manganese, and 1-4 per cent of iron. The alloys may be made by melting together manganese-copper containing 25 per cent of manganese, and ferrocopper containing 10 per cent of iron, and adding aluminium to the melt.
