Abstract
158,255. Soc. des Etablissements E. Feuillette. Jan. 29, 1920, [Convention date]. Grip-chain and like arrangements for' .feeding, holding, and conveying fibrous materials.-Straw, fibres, &c. are passed through a machine and held during treatment by a pair of belts 1, 2, which may be grooved and are passed over driving pulleys 3, 4. The belts are turned through a right angle between the pulleys and are stretched to grip the straw &c. by a series of staggered rollers 6. After treatment the grip on the material is moved transversely, and the material transferred to a second pair of belts. The ends of the material may be supported during transfer by an endless cord 7 running round a grooved pulley on the axis of the last roller 6 and over a grooved pulley 8.
