Abstract

158,182. Menzel, P. K. M. July 8, 1920. Piston packing.-In packing for pistons or piston-rods &c., of the type consisting of a radially corrugated sleeve with a packing edge, minor corrugations, are formed on the main corrugations, and the packing edge is doubled. Several packing rings may be employed, either nested together or opposed. The invention is shown in Fig. 3 applied to a piston-rod.
