Abstract

1537436 Reciprocating pumps TOYO AEROSOL INDUSTRY CO Ltd 13 Sept 1977 [29 July 1977] 38183/77 Heading F1A A finger-actuated sprayer for liquids or powders, comprises a pump assembly mounted on an air-tight container the contents of which are pressurized at a level such that a spray can not be effected by the contents pressure alone. The pump assembly may comprise bellows 105, 104, contraction of bellows 105 by finger pressure expanding bellows 104 until spring 123 is overcome to open discharge valve 121, product entering bellows 105 via port 133 and check-valve 129 during the return stroke. Alternatively, pistons may replace the bellows Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown). Examples of products and pressurizing gases are described.
