Abstract
153,024. Nikolaus, H. Feb. 26, 1919, [Convention date]. Knock-down boxes.-A separable part box comprises sides 1, 2, Fig. 5, and ends 3, 4, slidably connected together as shown by inter-engaging metal plates 7, 8, and a bottom 6 fitted with plates 7 similarly engaging with plates 8 on the lower edges of the ends. Fittings 9, Fig. 6, on the lower edge of the side 2 also engage in co-operating fittings 10 on the bottom, and a pivoted part 14 on the bottom is turned down to engage a fitting 10 on the side 1 and held in the engaged position by a friction latch 15. The lid 5, Fig. 6, has on three sides fittings 10 adapted to engage cooperating parts 9 on the ends and rear side, and in front fittings 11 which are inserted through holes in the lid and engage plates 8 on the upper edge of the front wall 1; the fittings 11 are mounted on a separate strip 12 which is afterwards secured to the lid by means of a fixing screw 13.
