1519313 Free machining ferritic stainless steel SANDVIK AB 17 Oct 1975 [18 Oct 1974] 42776/75 Heading C7A Free machining ferritic stainless steel of composition: - wherein the Mn, Ti and/or Zr and S and/or Se contents are adjusted to form finely dispersed sulphides and/or selenides of diameter or thickness between 1 and 4 Ám by monotectic or entectic reaction. The steel may be prepared by melting, casting heating to 1200‹C and hot working, re-heating to 920‹C and quenching.
