1347345 Steel compositions NIPPON KOKAN K K 30 June 1971 [30 June 1970] 30759/71 Heading C7A A free-cutting steel comprises, in weight per cent : - 0À002 to 0À02% calcium 0À005 to 0À04% soluble aluminium 0À08 to 0À6% carbon 0À15 to 0À6% silicon 0À3 to 2À0% manganese 0À005 to 0À1% niobium and/or vanadium up to 1À5% chromium up to 4À0% nickel up to 0À5% molybdenum the balance being iron and impurities. The steels have improved free-cutting properties at high tool speeds.
