1495732 Steel CENTRO SPERIMENTALE METALLURGICO SpA 4 Dec 1974 [6 Dec 1973] 52374/74 Heading C7A A steel having a manganese content of from 1À5 to 3 wt. per cent., and a carbon content of not more than 0À1% wherein the combined content of ferritizing elements is such as to produce a α # γ phase change between 950‹C and 1050‹C and wherein the niobium content is sufficient to delay initiation of the γ # polygonal ferrite transformation on continuous cooling in air so as to obtain a completely bainitic structure, said steel having the following composition by weight:- Balance iron and impurities. The steel may be used in marine environments.
