Abstract

1514737 Direction-indicator LUCAS ELECTRICAL CO LTD 17 Nov 1975 [3 Dec 1974] 52170/74 Heading G4Q A road vehicle direction-indicator switch is cancelled automatically via a pawl 21 movable linearly between detent arms 18, 19, a lug 22 on the pawl intersecting the path 23 of a striker on the steering column. The pawl has a pair of posts 24 received in corresponding elongated slots in the cover of a moulded synthetic resin body 11 which is fixed to the stationary outer part of the steering column. Springs urge the pawl to its protruding, operative position but in the central (rest) position of a member 12 (supported by body 11) the pawl is prevented from moving by abutment of a post 25 integral therewith and the apex of a component 26 on member 12.
