Abstract

1,185,105. Inert switches. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. 10 April, 1967 [9 April, 1966], No. 16258/67. Heading H1N. [Also in Division G4] A warning light switch 17 for motor vehicles which in its " on " position connects all the flashing lights to a current source via a pulse generator 16 has the switch 17 and generator 16 mounted in a sheet metal housing 25 with an insulating base 28. The reciprocal switch spindle 32, carrying a pilot light 36 in a transparent knob 37, has a disc 33 engaging a matched opening (34, Fig. 3) in an insulating plate 29 slidable in grooves 30 in housing 25. One side of plate 29 has contact paths (40a-40f, Fig. 3) co-operable with resilient fixed contacts 26a<SP>1</SP>, 26a-26e, and the other side mounts the generator 16, which may be a hot-wire controlled snap disc or electronic, and an electromagnetic rotary armature relay 18. When switch 17 is " off," O, Fig. 4, and ignition switch 21 is closed, the flashing lights 10, 12 or 11, 13 on one side of the vehicle can be connected to source 19 by selector switch 14 via a blinker 15 and contacts 42 of switch 17. When switch 17 is " on," I, Fig. 4, all the lights 10-13 are connected to source 19 via contacts 43, 44 of switch 17, contacts 45 of pulse generator 16, and contacts 46, 47 of relay 18 controlled by generator 16. Contacts 42, 43, 44 are formed by cooperation between contact paths (40a-40c) and contacts 26a<SP>1</SP>, 26a-26c.
