Abstract

1305105 Road traffic signals on vehicles ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 19 March 1970 [19 March 1969] 13315/70 Addition to 1185105 Heading G4Q [Also in Division H1] In a vehicle flashing unit including a pulse generator controlling an electromagnetic relay which supplies intermittent current to both directional and warning lights, and also including a pilot unit for altering the frequency of the pulse generator when a warning light fails to operate, the pulse generator, the relay and the pilot unit are mounted on one side of an insulating plate located in a housing together with the switch contacts and counter-contacts of the warning light switch. As shown in Fig. 1, a push-pull warning light switch comprises a switch stem 28 coupled to insulating plates 23, 33; the components of the flashing unit are mounted on plate 23; for switching, fingers 26 make contact with tracks 25. In Figs. 3, 4 (not shown) a push button switch has a hollow push button partially accommodating the insulating plate. Rocker switches are also described, Figs. 5-9 (not shown), in which (a) the insulating plate is pivoted in a housing and connected to the rocket by a switch rod; (b) the insulating plate is mounted inside the hollow rocker and contact fingers are mounted in a housing; and (c) the insulating plate is mounted in a housing and contact fingers are mounted in the rocker.
