Abstract
1508471 Coating tape for aluminide coating GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 28 Feb 1975 [1 March 1974] 8510/75 Heading B2E [Also in Division C7] A coating tape for use in aluminide metal coating comprises a metal powder disposed in a layer of uniform thickness on a backing layer, the metal being an alloy of 51-61% by weight of aluminium, the balance being iron. The layer may be strippable from the backing layer. The metal particles may be disposed in a binder which may decompose without residue at above 1800F, e.g. an acrylic resin. The tape may be of polyethylene and a halide salt activator, e.g. NaF, KF, NH, Cl or NH 4 F may be present.
