1506964 Mounting flexible printing plates MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG AG 15 Jan 1976 [17 Jan 1975] 01660/76 Heading B6C A flexible plate clamping device on a cylinder 2 comprises a longitudinal bracing rail 4 having a recess in which is positioned, end to end, at least one clamp rail 5 which is vertically movable by helically surfaced cams 8 to clamp plate 3 between faces 7. Rotation of bolts 9 moves the cams, which are situated one at each end of each clamp rail 5, so that they press against rollers 12 to impart the required clamping force. Compression springs assist release of the plate 3.
