Abstract
1496383 Circumferential-flow compressors SIEMENS AG 7 Feb 1975 [5 March 1974] 5417/75 Heading F1C Th The thickness of the impeller vanes of a lateral channel compressor is such that the ratio of the intervane volume to the sum of the intervane volume and the vane volume is not greater than 0À72. The volume of compressed gas returned from the outlet side of the compressor to the inlet side during the passage of the impeller vanes past the sealing land separating the outlet and inlet ports is thereby reduced.
