Abstract

1500200 Liquid ring and side-channel compressors SIEMENS AG 4 March 1975 [13 March 1974] 9010/75 Heading F1C A side channel compressor or, as shown, a liquid ring compressor comprising impeller blades 3 separated by a gap 10 from a housing wall member, as shown a control disc 6, having inlet and outlet ports 4, 5, has a sealing ring 11 which narrows the gap in the region of the impeller hub 2 to inhibit the flow of compressed gas from the cells between the impeller blades to the inlet port. The ring 11 which is secured by screws 13 in a recess in control disc 6 has an O-ring seal 14 and a disc spring 12 causing an annular projection 15 integral with ring 11 to bear against hub 2 until it is worn down, after which the ring 11 is held by screws 13 with minimal clearance between the hub and annular projection.
