Abstract

1494745 Bag in a box; lids FLEXTANK Ltd and BOWATER PACKAGING Ltd 25 June 1975 [4 July 1974] 29686/74 Headings B8P and B8T A rectangular box 1 of moulded plastics material for containing a bag to form a liquid container consists of a box body 1 having an outwardly stepped flange 2 around its periphery, and a lid 10 having a depending skirt 11 which is deformed inwardly at 13 adjacent each corner of the lid to provide abutment shoulders which engage under the flange 2 of the box body, whilst the central zones 15 of the skirt along each side of the lid are un-deformed and provide finger recesses between the skirt and the box body 1 to facilitate lifting the box when closed by the lid.
