Abstract

149,261. Payenchet, R. March 29, 1919, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Spray carburettors; vaporizers, external.-The delivery of heavy fuel from a nozzle 1 is controlled by a valve 6 carried on a rod 13, which is attached to a perforated plate 9 subjected to engine suction. A spring 11 is placed between a cone 8 on the rod 13 and a perforated disk 12 integral with a suction-actuated supplementary air valve 14; the opening of the fuel valve is therefore dependent on the position of the valve 14 and of the plate. Primary air is admitted by the orifice 22 to the annular chamber 21. The mixture passes through the gauze 23 to a heater consisting of a number of tubes outside of which exhaust gases or hot water circulates.
