Abstract

149,028. Brockhouse & Co., J., and Brockhouse, J. T. April 2, 1919. Hoods.-The lazy-tongs links 6, 7 of a folding hood for motor-cars are supported from the upstanding arm 1 by three links 3, 4, 5 as shown, link 3 being bent at 10 and connected to link 4 at 12, and link 5 being connected to link 4 at the point 14 which rests on the link 3 forming a stop in the open position. The lower parts of the links 6, 7 are preferably longer than the upper parts, and the rear part of the link 18 is preferably longer than the link 17, so as to form a straight line at the lower edge of the hood. Additional pairs of links similar to 6, 7 may be incorporated. The hood may be arranged to fold back within the car body. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 5234/13, 26744/13, and 5336/14.
