Abstract

1485782 Shrinking textile webs ARTOS DR ING MEIER-WINDHORST KG 19 Sept 1974 40795/74 Heading DIL Textile webs are shrunk by wet treatment with fluid jetted upwards across the width of the web 10 from a series of nozzles 13 as the web is fed through a chamber 17 on a sieve conveyor 11, the web being displaced upwardly into a wave to a height higher than the web between the nozzles. Baffle plates 13 are located above the nozzles and both may move in a direction in or opposite to that of the web.
