Abstract

1485531 Reciprocating pumps CLAYTON DEWANDRE CO Ltd 4 June 1976 [13 June 1975] 25361/75 Heading F1A A duplex pump, e.g. for a split, full-power, hydraulic braking system, comprises a two-part housing 1a, 1b, each part carrying a cylinder sleeve 8 with a piston 7 reciprocated by a strap or link 13 engaging a respective crank-pin 14 on a common crank-shaft, each piston being connected to its strap by a ball 16 held in a socket by a threaded cap 17 having flanges which are swaged or folded down against side faces of the strap to prevent detachment. Liquid enters each cylinder sleeve via a filter (21), Fig. 2 (not shown), an unloader valve (9) and cylinder ports 10, and is discharged via check-valve 11.
