Abstract

1484227 Nickel electro-plating OXY METAL INDUSTRIES CORP 22 May 1975 [16 Oct 1974] 22316/75 Heading C7B An aqueous acidic Ni plating bath contains 0À1-10 g/l m-sulphobenzoic acid or the Ni, Na or Mg salt thereof, 0À05-0À5 g/l of an alkyne diol e.g. butyne-1, 4-diol or 3-bexyne-2, 5-diol and 0À05-0À5 g/l butene alchohol, e.g. butene diol or a butene mono-ol. Ni salts to be used are sulphate, sulphanate, fluoborate, chloride or bromide. The bath may contain H 3 Bo 3 as buffer and HCHO or chloral hydrate as additional brightener.
