Abstract
1482558 Stop-watches SOC SUISSE POUR L'INDUSTRIE HORLOGERE MANAGEMENT SERVIES SA 5 Dec 1974 [7 Dec 1973] 52700/74 Heading G3T. In order to permit several different stop-watch movements to use at least some parts in common, such a movement comprises a flirt 3 for stopping and freeing a balance in the movement train, a navette 5 for actuating return-to-zero hammer 6, a control member 2 having a pin 32 which can slide in a slot 33 in frame plate 1 when a pushpiece (not shown) is depressed, and a spring 9 which returns the member 2 to its rest position, as shown, when the push-piece is released and which is arranged, in that position, to act on the member alongside the line of sliding of the pin 32 so as to put a torque on the control member and press a finger 41 thereon against at least one of the parts 3, 5. In the movement shown the push-piece is actuated successively for the start, stop, and zero operations, the requisite motions of the parts being produced by a reverser 7 and a forked jumper 8, the two arms of which co-operate with a pin 30 on the flirt 3 and a pin 31 on the navette 5. The mechanism is shownin the RUN position, a pin 37 on the reverser being pressed against shoulder 2a of the member 2 by the spring 9. At the next operation of the push-piece, the finger 41 causes the flirt to turn clockwise about its pivot 10 to stop the balance, Fig. 3 (not shown), and the finger then passes to notch 5b of the navette. A further operation of the, push-piece thus turns the navette about its pivot 11, actuating the hammer 6, Fig. 1 (not shown), and the finger is returned to a notch (3a) of the flirt as the member 2 is turned clockwise about pin 32 by the reverser. A pin 12 on the navette co-operates with a brake lever (not shown) to brake the fourth wheel when the hammer is in its zeroing position. In an alternative movement, the reverser 7 and jumper 8 are omitted and a separate push-piece and slider (46), Figs. 4, 5 (not shown) are used for resetting to zero, thus permitting restarting without zeroing. As a further alternative the member 2 may be used for zeroing only, with a separate push-pull plate (57), Figs. 6, 7 (not shown) to start and stop the balance.
