Abstract

918,040. Date indicators. ETA A.G. EBAUCHES-FABRIK. May 5, 1961 [May 6, 1960], No. 16460/61. Class 106 (4). In a calendar watch a date ring 1 is stepped-on every twenty-four hours by a driving mechanism comprising a finger member 7 which is rotated by the movement and co-operates with the cam surface 10c of a slider plate member 10 which is located by a fixed guiding pin 11a. The member 10 has an extension 14 which abuts a spring 15 and has a driving tooth 13 which co-operates with the teeth 2 of the ring 1. The arrangement is such that the finger-member 7 moves the slider 10 counterclockwise against the pressure of the spring 15. When the finger member 7 enters the notch 16 on the slider 10, the slider is moved to the right and clockwise so that the driving tooth 13 comes between the teeth 2b, 2c of the ring 1. When the finger member 7 leaves the notch 16, the spring 15 returns the member 10 to its initial position and the tooth 13 steps-on the ring 1 by more than half a tooth pitch and a spring-loaded detent 17 completes the movement of the ring 1.
