Abstract

1,178,945. Calendar watches. ETA A. G. EBAUCHES-FABRIK. May 10, 1968 [May 11, 1967], No.22432/68. Heading G3T. A calendar watch comprises a date ring 11 having teeth 16, a stem 4 adapted to co-operate with a date setting lever 2, the stem being displaceable axially into separate winding, hands adjusting and date adjusting positions and a spring- loaded tongue 15. The tongue is pivoted on a lever 14 by a pin 28 and the lever, which is biased in a clockwise direction by a spring 24, is pivoted on the plate 1 by a pin 13. In the innermost or winding position of the stem 4, a nose 20 of the lever 2 engages a lug 18 of the tongue to hold the tongue out of engagement with the teeth 16. In the central or hands setting position of the stem, the lever 2 is rotated so that the nose is withdrawn from the lug 18 and the tongue springs upwardly into engagement with the teeth 16. When the stem is pulled to its outermost position (as shown) an arm 26 of the lever 2 rotates the lever 14 in an anti-clockwise direction thereby causing the tongue to abut the face 16a of a tooth 16 and index the date ring forward by one day.
