Abstract
1478762 Recirculating type furnace BLOOM ENG CO Inc 15 April 1975 [14 Aug 1974] 15446/75 Heading F4B A furnace chamber 21<SP>1</SP> with an exhaust port 24 has a pressurized external recirculating system arranged so that a hot fan 34 passes exhaust gases to a heater 33 which reheats the circulating gases before they are returned to the chamber via the gas line 44, cross header 31 and nozzles 29. The gas velocity at the nozzles is at least 100 ft/sec and causes sufficient turbulence to assume a uniform temperature throughout the chamber 21. The heater 33 includes one or more burners for a variety of fuels.
