1470279 Treating steel strip HOOGOVENS IJMUIDEN BV 23 May 1975 [27 May 1974] 22883/75 Heading B3A [Also in Division C7] Hot rolled steel strip is pickled, rinsed, cold rolled and hot annealed, and to prevent the formation of #-rust [Fe 8 (O.OH) 16 (Cl.OH)< 2 ], the rinsing bath contains 1000 to 10,000 p.p.m. of, e.g. a carbonate, phosphate, or chromate. The strip may be subsequently tin-plated.
