Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a hard tinned steel stock sheet by a method wherein an Al killed steel with a specific component is processed to a martensite texture by a continuous annealing cycle with a specific temp. pattern and, moreover, solid solution of C is controlled in a tempering procedure.
CONSTITUTION: A steel to be used is a steel with a low chemical component and contains, on wt%, C; 0.03W0.10, Si; ≤0.05, Mn; 0.15W0.50, P; ≤0.03, N; 0.02W 0.007, sol. Al; 0.02W0.07. This steel is processed at a finishing temp. of Ar3 point or more and at a winding temp. of 700°C or less in a hating stage to obtain a strip and, after this strip is pickled, is subjected to the cold rolling at a rolling reduction of 30W90% and, in a succeeding annealing stage, heated to the temp. of A1WA3 point by the continuous annealing. After the processed strip is maintained at this temp. for 5W180 sec. this strip is tempered by the rapid quenching of 40°C/sec. or more and, subsequently, annealed at 150W400°C and maintained for 5W300 sec. at this temp., then cooled, thereafter subjected to the skin pass finally.
