Abstract
1470040 Cleaning apparatus on flyer frames LTG LUFTTECHNISCHE GmbH 21 April 1975 [20 April 1974] 16400/75 Headings DID and D1J In a flyer spinning frame having a drawing zone and a winding zone, one or both zones being wholly or partially shrouded, the winding zone including a frame supporting bobbins within the flyers, a cleaning device comprises at least one air guiding surface disposed below the drawing zone, at least one first blast part for blowing air along the surface, at least one first suction part below the draw zone for drawing in air blown along said at least one surface, at least one second blast part for blowing air across the bobbin supporting frame, and at least one second suction part for drawing in air blown across the top of the flyer frame, the or each second blast and suction ports being fixed relative to the bobbin supporting frame. As shown, Fig. 1, the frame comprises drawing zone 19 feeding roving to rotating flyers 16 and rotating and reciprocating bobbins within winding zone 24. The drawing zone is cleared by air from nozzles 30 flowing over surfaces 29, through suction nozzle 31, through filter 41 and back into a fan impellor 44 of a line of impellors. The winding zone is cleaned by air flowing from nozzle 32 across frame 14, into suction nozzle 33, through filter 46, and back into fan impellor 47. The drawing and winding zones are covered by part-removable walls 21, 23. Air flow through nozzles 30, 32 may be reduced, relative to the air flow through suction nozzles 31, 33, via bleed ducts 70, 72. In a modification, Fig. 4, the drawing and winding zones are separated by deck 26', and air is sucked from openings 93 part surrounding flyer parts extending through the deck. Air is also sucked from above draw rolls 20. Alternatively, Fig. 2, air is delivered to and sucked from the drawing zones by one impellor 52 operating with filter 41'. In a modification. Fig. 3, the one impellor cleans the winding zone via flexible tubes 57, 59.
