Abstract

1462122 Collapsible push chairs FTM (WARE) Ltd 8 Aug 1975 [8 May 1974] 20279/74 Heading B7B A collapsible push chair includes two side frames each comprising four members 1, 2, 5 and 7 pivotally connected to define a quadrilateral in the partially-collapsed position illustrated and a triangle with members 1, 2 aligned in the erected position. Fifth and sixth members 10, 11 pivotally connected to their respective side frames, support a seat canvas 25. A two-part cross-bar 13, 14 is pivotally connected between members 2, struts 15, 16 connecting the crossarrangement interconnects the lower ends of frame members 5, Fig. 3 (not shown). Each member 1 carries a rod 21 extending towards the opposite member 1, the rods being joined by a spring to form a handle. A sleeve 22 is slid over the intermediate spring to prevent collapse of the handle in use.
