Abstract

The folding chair is adjustable in height and its legs consist of two sets of uprights (1, 2, 7, 8) which form triangles and are braced by cross bars (23, 27). The back uprights (7, 8) are articulated on the front uprights (1, 2), at the top, so that when the chair is folded the seat pivots upwards. The bottom parts of the legs (21, 22, 25, 26) slide telescopically in the top parts (2, 3, 7, 8) and are held in place by pegs (24, 28) which fit into holes (5, 10) in the top part. The back of the seat (30) is joined to a curved bar (31) whose free extremities fit into the front uprights.
