Abstract

1457896 Windows and doors R CALVEY 10 Jan 1974 [22 June 1973] 29644/73 Heading E1J A window or door comprises an outer casement frame C mounted by a first hinge B on a fixed frame A, and an inner casement D mounted on the outer casement by two hinges E at opposite sides. The hinge B is of the barrel type, preferably with angled legs. The hinge E comprises at least one link pivoted at each end to respective casements, friction at the pivots retaining the members in a desired position. The casements open in opposite directions.
