Abstract

1307026 Furniture screens A FELIX 19 April 1971 [24 March 1970] 23573/71 Heading A4U [Also in Division E1 E2 Panels 1, 2, 3, 4 of a removable partition are each mounted in a frame consisting of bars having longitudinal grooves, and adjacent vertical bars 5, 9 of adjacent frames are articulated together by hinge members 10, 11 extending along the bars, and coupling members 12, 13 formed as extensions of the bars, the panels being retained in selected angular relationship by the engagement of a rib 15 in one of a series of equi-spaced notches 14 which are centred on the hinge axis. Panel 4 forms a door, a bar 7 supporting a double-glazed window 8 is elastically gripped in the longitudinal grooves 6 in the frame of panel 3, and panel 2, which includes a double-glazed window 21 and a panel consisting of two hard plastics plates 26 and filler metal 27, bears against the ceiling and floor by packing joints 23, 25. In a modification, the coupling members comprise a notched partcylindrical extension (31) on one bar and one or more ribbed arcuate portions (36) on the other bar, the portions being concentric with, and outside, the extension.
