Abstract

1381353 Door wing G J ECONOMOV 20 Jan 1972 [26 Jan 1971] 2836/72 Heading E1J A door wing has two vertical panels 22, 24 of different widths connected at an angle of between 90‹ and 175‹ and is pivoted about an axis 12 disposed along the vertical edge of the narrower panel 22 remote from the wider panel. Four such doors may each be pivoted about the same axis 12 to form a turnstyle, Figure 1, or the doors may be used individually or as double doors 46. The panels 22, 24 may be formed as one bent panel or two releasably interconnected panels. A locking mechanism operable by a horizontally pivotal pushbar may be attached to either portion. Weather seals may be secured to the door's edges and resilient cushions attached to the junction of panels 22, 24.
