Abstract

600,867. Door or panel frames. BERRY, A. Oct. 15, 1945, No. 26918. [Classes 20(iii) and 87(i)] A door or panel has a skeleton frame wherein the frame members are formed of metal and wood strips arranged side by side and connected together along the whole or substantially the whole of their length by interlocking rib and groove connections. As shown the side members 2, top and bottom members 3, and corner brackets 5 consist of wooden strips 8 and channel section metal strips 7 connected as shown in Fig. 2, while the cross bars 4 consist of a double channel metal strip 9 with a wooden strip 10 fitted in each channel, as in Fig. 3. The members are secured together by angle irons 6 welded thereto, and decorative panels &c. are attached to the frame thus formed. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 582,460.
