Abstract

1434904 Windows CODE DESIGNS Ltd 30 July 1973 [3 Aug 1972] 36352/72 Heading E1J An alternative movement window with an inclined or horizontal sash comprises elongate members 11 having one end pivoted at 15 to an outer frame 1 and the other end hinged at 10 to the sash, the members 11 being lockable to the sash by catch 16. A metal frame 7 has parts 8, 9 of T-shaped cross-section to cover the gap between sash and frame. Part 9 has members 11, 12 secured to the sash. Part 8 has members 11 spaced from the sash and pivoted to part 12 on the frame. Catch 16 is pivoted to the sash and has a recess 21 which receives pin 18 on member 11 when the window is closed and when it moves about pivot 15. To reverse the sash about hinge 10, catch 16 is first released to the position of Fig. 5 and the sash must then be moved manually to release pin 18 before full reversal.
