Abstract

1334285 Stays WILH FRANK GmbH 29 Nov 1971 [27 Nov 1970] 55259/71 Heading E2F A stay for a window or door casement 1, preferably of the kind which can pivot about horizontal or vertical axes, comprises a first arm 3 adapted to be pivoted at 5 to window frame 1 and displaceably connected at 9 with the casement, and a second arm 4 pivoted at 10 to the first arm and at 12 to the casement. The pivot pin 9 slides in a guide slot 6. Pivot pin 10 depends from the arm 3 and has a lower shoulder (19, Fig. 2 not shown) to prevent disengagement of the arm 4 which has a slot (21) engaging the pin 10 with clearance to permit tilting of the arm 4 relatively to the pin. The free end 14 of arm 4 is joggled at 15, Fig. 2 (not shown) and has a pointed end 17 which presses upwardly on the. arm 3 when the window is closed.
