Abstract

1457215 Reciprocating motors and pumps LINDE AG 13 Feb 1975 [15 Feb 1974] 6207/75 Heading F1A A hydraulic motor or pump, e.g. for driving a vehicle wheel 11, comprises a rotary cylinder block 6 on a drive-shaft 7, each cylinder having a smaller diameter portion 12 and a larger diameter portion 13 receiving respective telescoping pistons 16 and 14. As shown, liquid enters working space 13 via inlet 24, kidney port 22, shoe and piston passages 21, 18 and a groove 17 formed either in piston 14 or piston 16, the liquid being discharged via kidney port 23 and outlet 25. Slippers 20 and 26 have pressure cushion recesses. Alternatively spaces 13 may be provided with bleed ports and seals may be provided between the pistons, liquid then being supplied to working spaces defined within the pistons.
