Abstract

1455899 Dry shavers SCHICK Inc 5 Feb 1974 [5 Feb 1973] 05225/74 Heading B4B A replaceable stationary cutter for a dry shaver comprises an elongated flexible foil plate 52 having a perforated portion 54 and marginal portions secured to side members 62 of an elongated resilient frame 60 such that the perforated portion is maintained in an arcuate operating configuration. The frame is made from plastics material and provided with bosses 70 for location in holes provided in the marginal portions of the foil; the bosses are deformed to secure the foil to the frame. The frame is formed with lugs 66 having tapered edges adapted to cooperate with correspondingly-shaped recesses 30, 32 formed in sides 26, 28 of a pivoted head frame 14; the cutter may be easily removed from the bead frame by squeezing the lugs together and lifting the foil frame from the head.
