Abstract

1,202,247. Dry shavers. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. 15 Sept., 1967 [20 Sept., 1966], No. 42096/67. Heading B4B. In a dry shaver having a toroidal shaving head 18, Fig. 5, the inner edge of the shear plate 8 is fitted in a disc 9 which is connected only to the shear plate. The disc 9 is composed of three parts, i.e. a ring 10, a disc 11 and a filler mass 12. The ring 10 and disc 11 may be made of metal or of a synthetic material whilst the mass 12 may consist of an epoxy resin. The outer edge of the shear plate is fitted in a ring 14 which is composed of a ring 15, a ring 16 and a filter mass 17. In a dry shaver having a double cylindrical shaving head, Fig. 7, the inner edges of the shear plates are fitted in a strip 20 which is solely connected to the shear plates. The outer edges of the shear plates are fitted in a frame 21. The strip 20 and the frame 21 each consist wholly or in part of a synthetic material.
