Detaching from, and attaching to, permanent hubs; disk wheels; double and multiple wheels arranged side by side.-Detachable wheels consist of a dished metal disk 1 carrying the rim and a dished reinforcing metal disk 2 riveted together, and provided with conical seatings 6, 10 by which the wheel bears on a conical flange on the permanent hub and on a conical securing nut 11, teeth 8 being provided to transmit the drive between the wheel and the hub. In the form shown in Fig. 1, the disk 2 is bent to provide the seatings of the wheel, and is turned over at 5 to secure the inner edge 4 of the disk 1. In a modification, Fig. 4, the disks 1, 2 are detachably clamped between two plates 18, 19 on which the seatings of the wheel are formed. Fig. 3 shows the application to a twin-wheel arrangement. The outer wheel consists of a disk 1 carrying the rim and a disk 2 riveted to the disk 1 and bearing on the centre of the inner wheel. The wheels are secured together by stay bolts 17.
